A very special section of my Family Pages is dedicated to my father, Georg Lagerstedt, 1892–1982, Painter and Graphics Artist. His work is represented by some examples of his art, and a presentation of his career.
I got started when I received an e-mail from Karen Seibert in Florida, who wrote about the sisters Olsdotter (Olsson) from Öved in Sweden. 3 out of 5 sisters emigrated to the US - one of them was Karen's great grandmother. 2 sisters stayed at home - one of them was my grandmother.
My first page shows some photographs of my grandparents and their close family.
That was followed by the 1913 diary of Olga Johnson, transcribed by Karen Anderson Seibert in Florida from the original pencil document.
Karen sent me details about relatives that I had not known before. I inserted them in my family register, and have published a test genealogical table on the web, starting with my great grandmother Sissa, born in 1827. I got more details from Richard Allen Lee Gordon, and hope to get further response to find out more about our family.
Lundeberg is my husband Jan-Erik's family. The Lundebergs arranged an interesting bus trip to old family places. I wrote a report on this Lundeberg family outing.
There is also a family party page taken from a report on a Swedish web site called "Mama on the Net". It describes a family party that was a present from our youngest daughter Pia to my husband Jan-Erik for his 70th birthday: a gourmet meal for six persons - all ingredients included as well as a professional cook. Pia won this in a competition on the site, and her sister and both their husbands came to Jan-Erik's and my kitchen for the occasion.
In the summer of 2001 we visited Italy, and I wrote an illustrated report about our holiday.
I have alos produced a report from our lovely summer weeks in 2003 at Old Bridge, Somerset, UK.
I am working on a similar report from Denmark in the summer of 2004.
The most recent addition is a page of photos from Xmas 2004 in Lidingö - Jul 2004.
I plan to add more pages - some time.
