Vivi Ann Lundeberg

Lidingö, Sweden

A brief autobiography:
born 1931, architect, married 1953, 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren
specialized in hospital planning for many years
active in the Kvinnor Kan Movement
another favourite project Radio Q (in Swedish)
and SeniorNet Sweden, promoting IT among older people

Kvinnor Kan has been an important part of my thoughts and actions since 1982;
I was president of the Kvinnor Kan Foundation 1985-90, member of the Board 1983-93: promoting a women's forum to acknowledge women's knowledge
a wonderful, hard, exciting, and stimulating period in my life

Radio Q was one of ten commercial radio stations in Stockholm that were started in 1993. The Radio Q concept was to create a friendly family station with news, interviews, and discussions on any and all topics, while specifically including voices and visions of women - not excluding men. Radio Q had to stop broadcasting in June 1995, since financing posed a great problem. However, Radio Q still exists as an organization, awaiting new possibilities and means of working, such as on the Internet.

SeniorNet Sweden was initiated in 1986. I was president for two years, and then responsible for the SeniorSurf project in 1999 - working hard to encourage fellow senior citizens to take part in the new IT world and community of Internet. 375 public libraries participated, inviting senior citizens to visit and learn about Internet. On Senior Surf Day, September 29 1999, some 30.000 seniors attended the library open houses all over Sweden.
